12/2021 patient hospitalized for 10 days over Christmas with an infection around ICD. They also found fluid around heart and found that the lead wire in ICD was not working. Patient had pericardial window done. They took over a liter of fluid from around patientā€™s heart, patient had test tube for two days. Two days later patient has lead wire replaced. During surgery there were complications. Surgery was only supposed to last 45 minutes but lasted almost 4 hours. During the process of taking the old lead wire out it started to shred patientā€™s heart so they had to cut and cap it and leave it in. It was touch and go for a while.

I forgot to mention, Iā€™m the 46 now 47 year old patient.
